Our History:

Odyssea Marine, Inc. was organized in 1998 to meet the marine transportation needs of the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico . In 1998, Odyssea Marine, Inc. purchased North Bank Towing Corporation and in conjunction with other acquisitions offered tugs and towing vessels, power barges and also provided shipping and stevedoring services. At the time it was acquired, North Bank Towing Corporation had been serving the offshore oil and mineral industry for over 25 years. Further, the company had worked vessels all over the world and maintained a continuous presence in Mexico , working in that country since the late 1970's as it does today. Odyssea Marine, Inc. in 2002 and 2003 divested the power barges and shipping operations and sharpened its focus on tugs and anchor handling towing supply vessels.

In 2005, Odyssea Marine, Inc. expanded its fleet by purchasing two 3,000 HP class tugs, the M/V Caribbean Lady and the M/V Miss Goldie. Also in 2005, Odyssea Marine, Inc. acquired the M/V Odyssea Voyager, a 7,000 HP class Dive Support and Construction Vessel to further add to operational capabilities and services.

In January 2006, Odyssea Marine, Inc. again expanded its marine transportation services offerings with the acquisition of six supply vessels from Lytal Enterprises Inc. The six vessels range in length from 135 ft. to 165 ft. With the addition of the Lytal fleet, Odyssea Marine, Inc. was organized into two operating divisions:

North Bank Towing Division based in Berwick , Louisiana with operational responsibility for tugs, towing supply, and dive and construction support vessels.
Offshore Supply Vessel (OSV) Division based in Larose , Louisiana with operational responsibility for the offshore supply vessels.

Odyssea Marine, Inc. further expanded the capabilities of its Offshore Supply Vessel Division in September 2006 with the acquisition of AMT Marine Inc. The AMT fleet added five supply vessels ranging in length from 150 ft. to 200 ft., all DP class vessels. With this acquisition, Odyssea Marine's OSV Division now consists of eleven vessels, with a mean age of less than four years.
