Odyssea Marine, Inc. acquires fleet from Lytal Enterprises Inc.

Odyssea Marine, Inc. has announced the purchase of six offshore supply vessels from Lytal Enterprises Inc. based in Lockport LA. The six vessels include the Lytal Andre, Lytal Regan, Lytal Ashley, Lytal James, Lytal Queen, and the Lytal Team. The vessels operate in the Gulf of Mexico supplying cargo to major and independent oil companies, marine construction firms, as well as upstream seismic operators.

Chuck Denning, Chairman of Berwick based Odyssea Marine, Inc. stated “This is an important time for our company and we are pleased to have the Lytal team with us. We will be a stronger company due to this acquisition.”

Odyssea Marine, Inc. with this acquisition has been structured into two primary operating divisions. The North Bank Towing Division based in Berwick will operate the traditional offshore tug, anchor handling and towing supply vessels. The OSV Division based in Lockport will operate the offshore supply vessels.

According to Aaron Thomas , Chief Executive Officer of Odyssea Marine, Inc. “The primary strategy behind the acquisition of the Lytal fleet is to expand our marine service offerings and also appeal to an increased client base. In conjunction with our North Bank Towing Division, our capabilities to offer more clients more services will make our company more strategically sound.”

Lytal Enterprises Inc. and its affiliated companies have served the offshore energy industry for over a quarter century by supplying marine transportation, production, construction, diving, stand-by and other vital functions.
