Odyssea Marine Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of David W. Sharp as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company.  Prior to joining Odyssea, Mr. Sharp held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Horizon Offshore, Inc.  Mr. Sharp held the positions of Chief Financial Officer of Horizon from 1996 to 2005, and was President and Chief Executive Officer from 2005 until the merger between Horizon and CalDive International, Inc.  He also held various positions with J. Ray McDermott, S.A. and OPI International, Inc.  Mr. Sharp has over 30 years of experience in the oil service industry.

Also joining Odyssea Marine Inc. is William B. Gibbens, III.  Mr. Gibbens serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of the company.  Prior to joining Odyssea, Mr. Gibbens held the position of Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Horizon Offshore, Inc.  He also worked as attorney with J. Ray McDermott, S.A., and was a partner in private practice with various law firms where his practice focused on the offshore energy industry.

Serving as Executive Assistant to both Mr. Sharp and Mr. Gibbens is Ms. Phyllis LaFleur.  Prior to joining Odyssea, Ms. LaFleur served in the same capacity with Horizon Offshore, Inc..  Ms. LaFleur, Mr. Sharp and Mr. Gibbens, are based in Odyssea’s newly opened Houston office.
